Car Odor Removal: How Active OdorX Refreshes Your Cabin
You open the door, slide into a freshly detailed seat, and take a breath. The dashboard looks great. The carpet looks tidy. But that familiar musty smell is still along for the ride.
For car odor removal, Wings’ Active OdorX Fogger adds an OZIUM odor-eliminating mist that circulates through the cabin and ventilation system. Available as a detailing add-on and included in Interior OdorX, it complements interior cleaning and leaves a refreshing lemongrass fragrance. Persistent damp smells still require attention to the underlying moisture source.Active OdorX service adds a targeted odor-treatment step to your detail, followed by the refreshing lemongrass fragrance our clients enjoy.

What is Active OdorX car odor treatment?
Active OdorX Fogger is the add-on name you will see when booking with Wings. The product pictured is OZIUM Single-Shot Total Air Refresh: an aerosol odor eliminator designed to release its contents as a fine mist.
OZIUM describes this fogger as a treatment for stubborn smoke and other unpleasant odors. For a vehicle that has already been cleaned, it can be a useful finishing step when an unwanted smell still lingers.
You can add Active OdorX Fogger to your selected detailing package. Or choose Interior OdorX, which already includes the OZIUM treatment alongside the Interior Shampoo service and fresh fragrance.
How does the treatment reach the air vents?

Think of the vehicle’s ventilation as the route the mist travels. During the treatment, circulating air helps carry the odor-eliminating mist through the cabin and air vents. This distributes the treatment beyond the spot where the can sits.
That is different from hanging a fragrance card from your mirror. A fragrance adds a pleasant scent; the fogger is intended to help eliminate unwanted odors. Both contribute to the finished experience, but they have different jobs.
1. Clean what is causing the smell
A forgotten snack, a spill in the carpet, or a damp mat can keep contributing odor. Removing debris and cleaning dirty upholstery and carpets comes first. This is why pairing an odor treatment with interior cleaning makes sense.
2. Circulate the treatment

The single-shot fogger releases a fine mist into the unoccupied vehicle. Air circulation moves that mist through the interior and vents. Our team follows the product label for treatment conditions and timing.
3. Ventilate and finish
The vehicle is aired out after treatment before anyone returns to the cabin. The finishing experience is a fresher-smelling interior with a refreshing lemongrass fragrance.
Musty smell? Start with the moisture story
If your vehicle smells damp or mildew-like, tell us when booking. Active OdorX can be a helpful addition for lingering musty odors after cleaning, but a smell alone does not tell us whether mold is present.
If visible mold, soaked materials, or a recurring water leak is involved, the underlying problem needs attention. Fogging does not remove mold growth, dry wet padding, repair leaks, or replace a cabin air filter.
The useful distinction is simple: treating the smell is one part of the job; addressing whatever keeps creating it is another. Let us know if the odor returns after rain or appears whenever you turn on the air conditioning. Those details can help guide the next step.

Why pair it with interior shampoo?
Picture a coffee spill that has soaked into the carpet. Refreshing the air cannot physically extract the residue in the fibers. Interior shampoo addresses the materials; odor treatment adds attention to the remaining cabin smell.
Our Interior OdorX package combines the Interior Shampoo service with the OZIUM odor treatment and fresh fragrance. If you want deeper interior cleaning plus the odor-treatment step in one booking, this is the package to choose. You do not need to add the fogger a second time.
A little lemongrass. A whole new mood.
There is something satisfying about opening the door to a cabin that feels cared for. Our refreshing lemongrass fragrance brings a bright finishing touch to the service—an inviting start to the school run, your commute, or a drive with clients.
The fragrance is the finishing experience, rather than a promise that every odor source has disappeared. The can pictured is labeled Original; “lemongrass” describes the Wings service’s fragrance finish.
Car odor removal: frequently asked questions
Does the fogger kill bacteria or remove mold?
We describe this specific product as an odor eliminator. The manufacturer’s Single-Shot information does not support promising that it disinfects the cabin, traps bacteria, or removes mold. Those are different claims from odor control.
Can I stay inside while it works?
No. The vehicle must be unoccupied during treatment and ventilated afterward according to the product label. Our team handles this part of the service.
How long will my car stay fresh?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Results depend on the original odor, how thoroughly its source is addressed, and what happens inside the vehicle afterward. A wet mat or a new spill can introduce odor again.
Keep the fresh feeling going
Remove food, trash, and used drink containers regularly.
Take wet mats out to dry instead of leaving them in the cabin.
Clean up spills promptly and arrange deeper cleaning when needed.
If a damp smell returns, investigate the moisture source rather than repeatedly covering it with fragrance.
Have persistent ventilation odors and cabin-filter concerns checked.
