How to detail and protect my Tesla

If you're a proud Tesla owner, you probably want to keep your electric vehicle looking brand new for years to come. One way to achieve this is through detailing and protection. With this blog post, we will show you how to protect your Tesla's vegan seats and fabric carpeting, as well as perform a first-time detailing with ceramic coating.

Step 1: Protecting Your Tesla's Vegan Seats

For Tesla's vegan seats to maintain their appearance and texture, special care must be taken. Using a coating designed specifically for vegan materials is one way to protect them. Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard is one popular option.

The first step in applying the coating is to thoroughly clean the seats with a gentle cleaner, such as Dr. Beasley's Fine Leather Cleanser. Using an applicator pad, apply a small amount of the coating and work it into the seats in a circular motion. Buff dry with a brand new microfiber towel after 30 seconds. Be sure to allow the coating to dry for at least an hour before using the seats.

Remember to toss your Microfiber towels in the trash after using with the ceramic coating.

Step 2: Protecting Your Tesla's Fabric Carpeting

Stains and spills are common problems with Tesla's fabric carpeting.

You can protect it by using a fabric guard such as Gyeon Fabric Coat or 303 Fabric Guard.

A hydrophobic barrier is created by the use of these products, which repels liquids and prevents stains from forming.

You should begin by vacuuming the carpet thoroughly before applying the fabric guard. Then, spray the product evenly over the carpet, making sure to cover all areas. It is recommended that the carpet is allowed to dry for at least 12 hours before being used.

Step 3: First-Time Detailing Using a Ceramic Coating

A ceramic coating is a durable and long-lasting protective layer that can be applied to the exterior of your Tesla. As well as providing a glossy finish, it helps protect against UV rays, dirt, and contaminants.

Prior to applying the coating, it is essential to thoroughly clean and decontaminate the exterior of your Tesla. This includes using a clay bar to remove any embedded contaminants and polishing the paint to remove any imperfections.

After the paint has been cleaned and smoothed, you can apply the ceramic coating with a microfiber applicator pad. In a circular motion, apply a small amount of the coating to the pad and work it into the paint. Buff with a brand new microfiber towel after 30 seconds. Continue this process until the entire vehicle has been covered. It is recommended that you allow the coating to dry for at least 24 hours before using your Tesla.
