Welcome to Wings Mobile Detailing blog, where we're going to discuss the best wax and sealant for mobile detailers. As a mobile detailer, you need a wax that is easy to apply, even in outdoor settings, and provides hydrophobic properties. There are two types of waxes you can use - sealant and wax. Let's talk about the difference between the two and the best options for mobile detailing.

Sealant:

One of the best sealant waxes available in the market is the PowerLock Plus From Jescar. This product is easy to apply, and it lasts for almost 8 months. It provides great protection as it is a sealant, which is better than wax in terms of protection.

The PowerLock sealant wax is easy to apply by hand with an applicator pad. It offers a wet look finish and a nice shine, making it a great product to use.

Instructions for Applying Sealant :

  1. Use a soft foam or microfiber applicator pad to apply a thin layer.

  2. Allow the sealant to dry to a haze.

  3. Remove residue after half an hour using a clean microfiber towel. (if you are working in straight sunlight, leave it on for about 10 minutes. The sun will help to "bake" and adhere the sealant into the paint.

It's a super easy and quick process to apply, and you can remove residue without waiting for half an hour. PowerLock sealant is a great combination if you're a mobile detailer and need a Sealant that is easy to apply and provides excellent protection.

It offers hydrophobic properties and a an incredible shine. The Collinite wax works well on top of the PowerLock sealant. You can use the PowerLock sealant first and then apply the wax shortly after, or during maintenance when you're cleaning your car after washing.

  2. Allow the wax to dry to a haze.

  3. Let it sit for 5 minutes, Remove residue using a clean microfiber towel.

Using separate applicator pads for the wax and sealant makes it easier to apply and remove the products. During the winter months, the wax may become heavier and more pasty, and you may need to warm it up to make it easier to apply.

For mobile detailers, it's important to use the right products for protection and shine. If you have an older car or want to renew your vehicle, using a combination of sealant and wax will provide the best protection and shine. Applying a layer of sealant first will offer better protection, while applying a layer of wax will provide a nice shine and hydrophobic properties and it will make your sealant layer last longer. The PowerLock sealant Plus and Collinite Insulator Wax are great options for mobile detailers.
